“Energy which flows downward and is lost, the wise turn upward and are transformed.”

We don’t teach suppression. We teach redirection — build a way of living with peace.

What’s inside

Everything you need to stand firm

We propose a daily rhythm of knowledge, practice, and reflection.

🔥

Streaks

To help you track your clean days, along with heatmap to help see progress visually.

🌅

Daily check-ins

A simple daily ritual to mark the day, stay honest with yourself, and keep the rhythm going.

One question carries the streak, and it is written to look like it. The rest are the small disciplines around it — sleep, training, food, the phone at midnight.

New
🔒

It opens as you go

You are not handed everything on day one. Articles, check-in questions and practices arrive as your days add up, so the app stays a path and not a wall.

And a slip never takes back what you already earned.

New
🏅

Milestone badges

Eleven rungs, from day 1 to a full year — each with its Sanskrit name and an honest note on what those days actually buy your body, mind, and spirit.

No invented numbers. Tradition is named as tradition.

🌬️

Guided practices

Seven pranayama with a breath pacer you follow on screen, Om japa with a mala counter, and trataka. Something to actually do with the energy, not just a timer.

New
🔊

Ambient sound

An Om drone, a tanpura, or flowing water to sit under while you practise. All of it made for this app, so nothing here is borrowed.

📖

Knowledge library

Short, readable articles on the “why” behind the practice, so discipline comes from practise of knowledge, not fear.

Four branches — Focus, Body Training, Vedic Lore, Timeless Legends — plus bookmarks, and a tick on whatever you have already read.

New
🧭

Know where you are

A timeline of the whole journey in five phases, so a hard week reads as a phase you are passing through, not proof that it is not working.

🎯

Goals & reasons

Write down what you’re building toward. Your reasons stay in front of you when it matters most, this helps you quit compulsive habits as per your goals.

🪞

Reflection, not shame

Slipped?

Slips are part of the path, not the end of it — progress matters more than perfection.

Reflect, reset, and keep going.

🌗

Light and dark

Ink on parchment by day, chalk on slate at night. Both built properly, because most of this reading happens late.

Paced for a beginner

The app opens as you do

Handing someone twenty disciplines and a hundred articles on day one is how they fail on day one. So it arrives in order, and what you have earned stays yours even after a slip.

Day 0

Start light

Your streak, the daily check-in with the essentials only, the calmest two practices, and a good chunk of the library already open.

Day 3 · 7

The first rungs

More check-in questions as the basics hold, more of the library, and your first two badges — First Light and Steady Flame.

Day 14 · 21

Harder disciplines

The month-three disciplines only show up once there is a base under them. Retention-based breathwork opens here, not before.

Day 30

Everything

The whole library is open, including the few deep pieces that assume you already have a handle on the rest.

The gate reads your best run, not your current one. Relapse and the streak resets — but nothing re-locks. Losing your reading on the day you need it most would be a punishment, not a practice.

Something to reach for

Eleven milestones

Each one lands on screen the day you cross it, with what those days do for body, mind, and spirit — written honestly. Mechanisms where there are mechanisms, “commonly reported” where it is subjective, and tradition named as tradition.

The timeline

Five phases, so you know where you are

Most people quit in a week they thought was failure and was actually just the phase. This is the same journey drawn as five arcs, with what usually shows up in each.

  1. Day 1–7

    The Initial Reset

The loudest week. Everything here is temporary, including the difficulty.

  2. Day 8–30

    Finding Steadiness

The week-to-week phase, where a routine becomes possible.

  3. Day 31–60

    Clarity

Attention comes back, and the streak gets tested rather than just held.

  4. Day 61–180

    It Becomes You

The stretch where it stops being a thing you are doing.

  5. Day 181+

    Living It

Past the point where anything you feel can be called a rebound.

Do something with it

Nine guided practices

A timer is the result of a practice, not the practice. These give you something specific to do — with the steps on screen before you begin, and the breath paced for you while you go.

The names, ratios and counts are the traditional ones. Where the classical version is not safe for a beginner, the app teaches the beginner version and says so instead of quietly swapping it. Anything with a real contraindication carries its caution above the start button — never in a footnote.

The practice

How it works

Willpower alone tires. Brahmi builds a rhythm of living, so the old urges have less and less to feed on.

  1. 1

    Check in daily

Open the app, mark your day, and watch your streak and heatmap grow. Small, honest, every day.

  2. 2

    Learn & redirect

Read from the knowledge library, sit for a practice, and anchor to your goals — turning the energy you’ve been leaking into fuel for the life you want.

  3. 3

    Reflect & keep going

On hard days, reflect without shame, reset, and return to the practice. Standing firm becomes a way of life, not a constant fight.

Common questions

FAQ

Is this a religious app?

No. Brahmi draws inspiration from India’s gurukul traditions, but it’s a secular self-improvement app open to anyone, of any background or belief.

Does it really work?

Brahmi gives you a structured daily practice, knowledge, and tracking to support your goal. Results depend on your consistency and circumstances, and experiences vary from person to person. It’s a tool to support your effort, not a guaranteed cure.

Why is some content locked at the start?

Because handing a beginner everything at once is how they fail at once. Articles, check-in questions and practices open as your days add up — a good part of the library is there from day one, most of it by the second week, and all of it by day thirty.

If I relapse, do I lose what I unlocked?

No. Your streak resets, but nothing re-locks. The app remembers your best run, so the reading and the practices you had earned stay open — including on the day you need them most.

Are the breathing practices safe?

The gentle ones are open from the start; the forceful and retention-based ones only arrive once you have a base under them. Every practice with a real contraindication shows its caution before you begin, not after. If you have a heart, blood-pressure, eye, or respiratory condition, or you are pregnant, please check with a doctor first.

How does the free trial work?

You start with a 3-day free trial that unlocks a hand-picked path for beginners. You can explore the experience before deciding to continue. You can cancel during the trial.

Will you charge me automatically?

Any billing terms are shown clearly before you confirm. You’re always told what you’re signing up for, and you can manage or cancel your subscription from your app store account.

Is my data private?

Your answers and progress are personal to you. We don’t sell your personal data. We do record the calendar dates on which you open the app — the date only, never the time of day, how long you stayed, which screens you saw, or where you were — and you can see that count yourself on your profile as your active days. See our Privacy Policy and Terms for the full details.

I relapsed — did I fail?

No. Slips are part of the path, not the end of it. Brahmi is designed to help you reflect, reset, and keep going. Progress matters more than perfection.

How is this different from just a streak counter?

A counter only measures abstinence. Brahmi adds the “how” — daily practice, knowledge, and rhythm — so you’re building something, not just holding on.
